Lord Janvrin, Deputy Chairman of HSBC Private Bank UK. After service in the Royal Navy he joined the UK Diplomatic Service in 1975 serving overseas in the UK Delegation to NATO in Brussels and the British High Commission in Delhi. In 1987 he was seconded to Buckingham Palace as Press Secretary to The Queen and in 1999 took over as Private Secretary to The Queen with responsibilities for advising on all aspects of The Queen’s public life as Head of State. In addition he is a member of the House of Lords and a Trustee of the National Portrait Gallery.
