Post Oxford University,he began a career in journalism and then as a columnist for The Times newspaper.
2005-Elected MP for Surrey Heath . Many roles on the Conservative front bench, serving 3 Prime Ministers in office. 2005-2007- Shadow Housing Minister & Planning .
2007-2010- Shadow Secretary of State for Children Schools and Families.
2010-2014 Secretary of State for Education appointed by David Cameron in the 2010.
2014-2015 Served as Chief whip .
2015-2016 Lord Chancellor , Secretary of State for Justice 2016-In the EU referendum campaign, Michael was co- convener of “Vote Leave” and took on a leading role during the campaign.
2017- Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs
2019-2021- Chancellor pf the Duchy of Lancaster with responsibility for Brexit preparedness
September 2021 – July 2022, Michael Gove served as Secretary of State for Levelling Up, Housing &
Communities and Minister for Intergovernmental Relations. October 2022 – Michael was reappointed by the Prime Minister Rishi Sunak as Secretary of State for the same portfolio
